Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream culture, and has become an icon of the world of pop. The singer also swept all over the world during the course of her journey. Swift removed the influences of country in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin, revealing she was one of the most talented singers/songwriters in her time. Swift could make the moment personal or harness the moment to benefit. Swift's early hits, especially the neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. But her 2008 album Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was beginning to discover herself, and finding a large audience. The album was able to have significant appeal not just in the U.S. where it racked up six platinum singles due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well within the U.K. Canada and Australia. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior successes, propelling the singer into superstardom. Swift's popularity grew throughout her subsequent three albums: Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within a genre where she belonged. Although she slowed down her style with the 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she was still atop the charts, a place she maintained with re-recordings of her back catalog along with Midnights the top charting synth heavy 2022 album.
