April Ross
April Ross was one of only a few women beach volleyball athletes who earned medals during several Olympics. Ross will compete in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic medal with Alix Klineman, a first-time Olympian. Ross will also be hoping for her first Olympic medal. This may be the last chance she'll ever have to do so at the age of 39. Her optimism is that she can achieve top honors. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that if the team plays well or at all they could win a gold. That's why I'm taking a little bit of luck also. Ross born in 1982 and was raised in Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began playing athletics at Newport Harbor High School. In Newport Harbor High School, she competed in numerous sports. Her prep athletic career included indoor volleyball, as well as basketball as well as running and track. But she clearly was a cut above the rest when it came to the second sport. As a college volleyball season as per her college bio, she was an outside-hitter, middle blocker and setter. Gatorade Circle Of Champions named her the National Player in 1999. In 2000, she won her the Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman may have started working together at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was already an established volleyball player before they teamed up. In reality, she was a winner of numerous major events with two different partners, among them the volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 until 2013. She also coached Klineman as well as herself. Kessy was Ross's teammate at the 2009 World Championships. They eventually won an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They were defeated for the gold medal by the legendary group comprising Misty and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. Together, they won bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. After high school and several years prior to hitting the sand as a pro Ross played to the Trojans at USC while an collegiate. It was a successful run for Ross at the school. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. She was also an integral player in helping the Trojans to make it to it to the Final Four. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss in her sophomore year however she was able to return her place as an All-American. Over her final 2 seasons with the Trojans program, she coached them to a national title every time. She was a fantastic volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the top female volleyball player in the NCAA. Ross studied international relations at USC. Margie Ross wasn't able to see her daughter's rise to beach volleyball fame. Ross's mom passed away due to cancer of the breast when she was a sophomore at USC. However, she keeps her mother in her heart. In addition, Margie remains a source of inspiration to her on the beaches and throughout the world of.
