April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among only a handful of women beach volleyball athletes that be able to do so. Alix-Klineman will be competing with April Ross in Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal over the coming days. In addition, Ross is aiming to capture the first Olympic gold. As she is 39 and has a long way to go, this could be her last shot. But she's confident top awards are in reach. Ross was reported on NBC Boston as saying that If you put in your best, even if you perform well, you will win the gold. Also, I'll take the opportunity to try my chance. Ross was born in California in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. She lived here with her mother, father and younger sister. Along with competing in various sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball as well as basketball, track and running. She was definitely the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. When she played in her time at the high school level as per her college bio, she was an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. Gatorade Circle Of Champions named her the national Player in 1999. Also, she won the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their roles since 2017. The reality is that Ross played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball before joining the duo. It's true that she has been able to win multiple tournaments, including one with a legendary volleyball player. From 2007 to 2013 she teamed together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Kessy's teammate Ross, who won the world title with Kessy in 2009 was also significant on the an international level. They eventually won an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team to beat out for gold. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement as she left the team. The pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her college the years prior to her professional career. Ross's Trojans experience was remarkable. In 2000, as a freshman the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. Additionally, she was an integral player to help the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. She suffered a devastating personal loss during her sophomore year, but she still repeated her place as an All-American. In her last two seasons in the program she led the Trojans up to the summit of the mountain netting successive national titles. Her individual achievements have cemented her status as a legend in volleyball. She won the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross, an USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross was never able to witness her daughter's climb to the beach volleyball spotlight. Ross's mom died from breast carcinoma in the year 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. But she still keeps her mother in her the heart. Margie at the beach as well as in everyday life, continues to inspire her.
