Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Wellington, Manitoba. She grew up there. She was the first actress to make her acting debut in Flora McGrath, her character in the romance film Piano. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage as Flora McGrath. For this role, she won the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of eleven. She is the second youngest winner in Oscar history. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). The actress played the role of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
